I posted results 2 months ago of my blood test for cholesterol, ect. My doctor took me off Lipitor because my results of that test were so good and requested a retest in 2 months.

My recent test results showed an increase in bad cholesterol a slight increase in Triglycerides, although still well in the acceptable range and a slight decrease in good cholesterol, although still quite good. I am sorry but I do not have the numbers. My doctor and I agreed I should resume taking Lipitor and I don't mind because "supposedly" the drug helps to avoid strokes and heart attacks. Of course HRT was supposed to be "good" for you when I took it. I am celebrating my 5 years breast cancer free this month.

Another topic. At first I was happy to find some LC foods begin to show up on grocery shelves. But I am now concerned that we will soon find LC "SnackWells" cookies, etc. which could be hard to resist and will only result in weight gain, just as was done with low fat foods.

BTW, my doctor told me that I am his only patient to stay on the LC diet.

Off to find some yogurt tomorrow. I love it and have avoided it for over a year. Thanks for saying it's permissible:-)
