In addition to Rebecca's great manicure tips and motivation to quit nail biting, one more thing on a cautionary note. (And I'm not joking here.:))

Don't ever let anyone trim, as in cut with scissors, your cuticles. The cuticles form a barrier between the outside world and its resident germs and your nail bed/bloodstream. Infection can happen if the cuticles are cut and it isn't pretty.
