Haven't held a bond for over 30 years. Stock returns averaged 18%. retired four years and sell stocks each quarter to meet next quarter spending requirement.

I don't see the need for money market funds or bonds more than the forward quarter expenses. Of course this all depends on your base if a big hit takes place. I feel even if you get hit big time it is offset from prior investments that grew in stocks vs. bonds.
