Clinton received 84% of the black vote, Gore got 92%, Kerry got 88%. Obama's 93% isn't such a huge bump from those numbers. Race doesn't appear to be a major factor there.You're ignoring that the absolute number of black voters that turned out for Obama vs. the others you list was considerably higher in comparison. If there is an issue, it would be not in just the increase in percentage, but also in the increase in volume.
