we lost more than 3000 in commodities last year
i ran turbo tax but have a question...
turbo tax put the amount on form 6781 but do i need to put the dates of buy and loss?
i wrote in comodity regulated options contract and tha's all.
we just let it expire..
also will the irs know next year that the rest of the loss carried over from this year or do i need to put that anywhere else besides schedule d?

thanks so much
i read publication 550 but can't be sure if i need to do this ...
