Computers are my brother Jeff's gig, not mine.

With a brother so into computers, perhaps he gets a new one every few years. IIVHO he should consider giving you his old one whenever he gets a new one. That's what one of my brothers does: every 4 years when he gets a new desktop Mac, he gives the old one to Mom (and he gives his old laptops to a single-mother friend).

We've been getting new computers every 4-6 years, each of us. I'm trying to persuade the hubster that from now on, since he;s retiring, we should consider getting the previous year's model when new ones come out instead of the latest & greatest. You make me feel even that is too self-indulgent!
