Condolences on your loss, ThyPeace.
Glad the package-opening was a bit of a diversion and the contents didn't disappoint.
A good many of them came my way as freebies at fitness conferences and I've always felt bad that someoone invested $$bucks in a marketing gimmick that didn't work with me, so I'm happy they're at least being looked at.
Although it's a real treat to watch real good dancers doing ZUMBA etc., especially gen-U-ine Brazilian instructors (we have one at our gym for the time being) I just don't have the moves and I don't think the instruction on those DVD is actually that good. I've seen better on youtube.
I kept a few of my original Firm tapes......sorting through my stash was a trip down memory lane. The original mansion set series came out in the 1980's!!! I remember watching an infomercial with the Benson sisters shortly after we first came to the US. I think that back then they were selling for about $60 a pop!!!! The idea was so novel at the time, though, and the quality of production so much better than what else was around that I would've paid the money if I felt I needed them or was interested in that type of "working out" back then. If you're hankering for some of the old instructors, Tracy Long has a series of DVDs out......some with Susan Harris, I believe (my fave from back then) http://www.tracielongfitness.com/category_s/3.htm Hmmmmm.....let me not look at this collection for too long else those shelves are going to fill up PDQ! (Both Nature and VeeEnn abhor a vacuum!!)
