I have taken a new job and would like to roll over my 401(k) into a conduit IRA at a discount broker so I can invest the proceeds Foolishly. My question is this - can I combine the proceeds with an existing conduit IRA from another previous employer or do I have to keep the funds separate? Both previous 401(k)'s only allowed pre-tax contributions so blending them will not mix pre- and post-tax $$.I'd appreciate the insight that anyone might have.
