Congrats on the wedding!I am recently engaged myself, and both my parents and hers are very religious (mine greek orthodox, hers southern baptist). Our announcement that we were going to have an entirely secular wedding has been met with tears and threats. My parents will not consider us married if there is no greek ceremony ("your children will all be bastards"), and of course there will be no financial support.I am hoping everyone will come around and at least be able to attend.Did everyone catch the NYT article about secualar ceremonies and using non-ministers as officiants? http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/12/fashion/12NOTI.htmlIt's exciting to be able to design a ceremony from scratch, as well as a little daunting.
