This lady is going to be a big star someday, mark my words; a great actress and a great beauty, along the lines of Jessica Lange or Michelle Pfeiffer. I've seen her in 3 films now, 1 Hour Photo, Gladiator, Mission to Mars, all supporting roles, and I would not have realized it was the same actress if I hadn't of known it was her beforehand. It 's not so much that she changes her appearance, though she does, but that she seems to be a different person in each. But not in a showy, "I'm-a-character-actress" kind of way; in each role she seems as if she's playing a character who just happens to be very much like herself. She's effortless, no acting tricks, she just is this kind of person. Considering that she's played 3 completely different people, that's pretty impressive.

Her biggest role so far was in Gladiator, and she was one of the best things about the movie. More than any other character, she seemed to belong to the period, simply by the way she carried herself and how she behaved. She conveyed a myriad of emotions just beneath the surface - her feelings for her brother, for her father, for Maximus, for her son, all conflicting w/each other. One sensed a great pain deep in her character. An incredibly subtle performance of depth and complexity in a film that was basically an actioner.

An actress to watch in future, for sure.
