I've been a Fool since '98 and I've never pimped for anyone. A really good guy in Ohio has a Pontiac G8 GT to Holden Commodore VE conversion for sale.
This is one of the best conversions in the country. Updates include the entire VE front clip and hood, engine bay fully updated, updated instrument cluster, airbag replaced to match the Holden steering wheel, the Aussie 19" wheel package. This is a gorgeous conversion.
He has dropped the price to $20,000 - firm. That is well below market value even without the updates/changes.
This car will turn heads wherever you go. If you're interested - or know someone who would be interested, here is the link:

I would be all over this car if I didn't have my own converted G8 sitting in the garage. I would put this conversion in the top ten done in the country (and ahead of mine).

Yes, it is working again for me. It was one of those forbidden links this morning.

Well a Commodore conversion would typically be forbidden in North America. ;-)

What is a G8 with the same specs worth in the US? Conversion isn't worth much except to the rare enthusiast.

That's what they did - they took a G8 and converted it to a Holden.
G8 GTs are selling for $20K to $25K - and considering those are 4 to 5 model years old, that's damn good retention of value. GXPs are still selling from $27K to $33K - I know one super clean museum grade one with less than 1K miles that sold for $37K in the last couple of months. Even a stripped V6 model built in 2008 is going for no less than $15K.
Anyone who had the idea that after Pontiac went bankrupt they could buy a G8 for 50 cents on the dollar...they're still waiting.

At the risk of opening a can of worms....what's the appeal of this conversion? I've never heard of a Commodore, FWIW, but I had a 1999 Grand Am I loved until it got totaled 2 years ago this month.
