Correct, but I believe you missed OP's point. If a Mack truck were to hit your DH and he were to die, would the paychecks continue (I believe is the point of OP's question).

My apologies for being so explicitly morbid.

It was about 1/2 of my point. I know IP lives a perfect life but sometimes divorce can happen - not that it is a possibility in her universe.

On the life insurance things, my experience and a different one that a friend had is that is can take much longer than one would expect for a life insurance payout or any other money. I was able to prepare a bit. She was not.

But again, not the topic of this board, however, the singular views of many married posters has been interesting.
