How often do you guys change your mask & tubes? I'm suddenly getting calls every week from the company from which I bought my machine - saying that I should change my mask & tubes every 3 months. This would be a little more believable if they didn't wait until I had had the machine for almost 2 years before starting the phone calls.....I'm just curious.(I wash out my mask & tubes regularly, but haven't replaced them. Everything seems to still be fitting properly.)
I replace my mask and tubes when they're broken, not before. For masks, that's about once every six to eight months; for the headgear, longer. I have never heard any argument that long-term use poses a specific, or even general, health threat. I have had some masks for well over a year without problems.
Medicare replaces tube and mask every 3 months. Sounds like over kill but the new mask feels great so they maybe do get out of shape. Jean
