I just got my credit report from Trans Union today, it costs $8, unless you live in certain states where you can get one free. Fortunately, the $2.30 overdue book fine wasn't on the credit report, even though a collection agency is after me for it :) (by the way, I put that money in the mail, I certainly don't want them sending over some guy to break my thumbs!)

I did have a few surprises. Most of the credit card accounts I closed are still open. Also the jerks at Sears have me down as being 30 days late for a payment in 1992. Sears is notoriously mean on people even the least bit late on minor amounts.

No other surprises. There isn't anybody else buying stuff in Europe using my name or anything like that. It was worth it just to check that out.
