There are 3 major credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. I have not checked my credit history with them since I bought my house 5 years ago.

What is the Foolish thing to do in regard checking your history periodically? Once a year? Every several years? Should I check one agency per year and rotate the agencies over a 3 year period?

Which agency has historically had incorrect information in your report? (What has fellow Fools observed?)

I have never had any credit problems and never carry a balance on a card. I don't expect any problems. I just want to do preventive maintenance on my credit history like I would on my truck so I can avoid problems. But I don't want to spend too much money doing it.
