Well, I finally saw it - after it was out a whole week.

I read the book quite a while ago. And the movie wasn't as good as the book. But then the book has been a best-seller every week for 3 years. I don't think the movie will do that well.

But then other books which were great in the suspense and adventure category, and I'm thinking of Tom Clancy and John Grisham's better works, were made into movies which were not their equal.

But as far as being too talky? Or slow? I didn't get that at all.
People who think that have to be perpetually hyperactive. I thought they did very well with what was edited out, which had to be done to get down to 2.5 hours. I thought it moved along very well, and told the story.

Once again, I don't agree with the critics. But then, the last time I thought an Oscar winner actually deserved it was Chicago - and that was the first time in a long time.
