cucuron,i am in the "opposite" situation as you - i am a u.s. citizen who lives abroad, but still has to file u.s. taxes. in the documentation i use to do that, there is a lot of reference to your situation. see irs publication 519 ("u.s. tax guide for aliens") available at: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p519.pdfsection 9 it titled "tax treaty benefits", which may be what you are looking for.have fun,c.
