Hi guys,

I've never been through dumpsters, but I have picked up tons of stuff off the curbs and out of alleys. I also found it's a great way to get rid of stuff. One summer night, my brother and I took a huge picture that neither of us wanted, as well as a small kitchen table across the street, and set it on the curb near an empty lot. It was gone within a half hour.

Once I found a boomerang shaped coffee table in an alley, I took it home, just cuz I liked it. I think it's from the '50's, but I don't think it's a designer or anything, because the top is just laminate. I have found a small white metal garden table, I have it in my living room for a lamp stand.

My hubby found a table saw once. He was really proud of it, but I think he broke it, as he never uses it anymore.

Phantomdiver, your board has made me psyched to go crawl the curbs again. It's funner to do it in the really nice neighborhoods.

Oh, and I have this friend who found an iron bed in the landfill, and totally sanded it down. Alas, his girlfriend appropriated it in the breakup.

My garlic bread's done! Gotta go eat...
