You didn't mention if you were in the north or the south... but when I go from inside treamill running to outside running, the breathing part always startles me. And that is because it so different from drawing a big ole lungful of cold air instead of inside warm air.

I find that the more I am outside, the better when running. I think that you have received very good advice and I have to second the whole point of warming up outside. I always do about five minutes of quick walking and then slow job when I am outside.

And of course, don't give up!
