Hi, all.

At the risk of self-promoting, I think this article needs to be considered by Lifeway investors (and I've noticed it doesn't show up under Lifeway's ticker on the quotes and data page): http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2007/03/22/dairy-drought.aspx

I say this not just for its contents, but for the confirmation I've been receiving from dairy industry professionals since I wrote it. The feeling out there in the fields is that milk prices are going to spike significantly this year, folks.

Beware. Although it's certainly possible that Julie and Edward will find a way to pass on any price increases, they didn't really do that last time we saw a surge in raw milk prices, and it hit profits hard.

Fool on, and let's be careful out there.

Rich (long on Lifeway in spirit, but not in my portfolio)
