Tell me I wasn't Foolish to pay off two other credit cards and accept 4.9% fixed until the debt is repaid. About 2/3rds of my total credit card
debt is now locked into this 4.9% fixed.

I did this once with Advanta about 5 years ago. Then about 18 months later they changed their mind and raised the rate to the highest 16.8% or so.
Read the fine print - it will probally say that the CC company can change the rate at will. If not, let me know the details and I may just take advantage of this offer myself.

note: Advanta does have a Class Action Lawsuit over this action but I am not sure of the outcome, if any.
