I don't know how much you have in other stocks and investments, but if F is the only holding you have - then you should think about diversification- especially with F and an unprofitable business and uncertain future.

I think Ford is trying to get small enough in order to match its production to its market share. I don't think it is nearly there and will continue to lose money.

If you do decide to sell the F in part or whole, I would look at taxes in terms of timing of the sales and also would average out of the postion over time.
