Hello fools,

I am in a pickel.

My 19yo daughter eloped (yea) last October.

This was without my knowlege. We knew there were engaged, and approved it, but we thought they were going to wait until after she was done school.

He filed his taxes, married filing separate, and included her name and SSN. She has no income and had no intention of filing.

My return came back as "One of your dependents is listed on another return".

Can I claim my daughter as a dependent if she is married?

What happens to the deduction for the tuition I paid?
