Dave, Thanks for taking time for a detailed reply.
I have joined DLJ and invested in 98 and 99 Roth IRA's.
Will self-direct this into AOL and EMC to begin.

I am writing a letter to my agent asking specifics about fees he charges for handling my mutual funds.
I did learn that two of the three beat the S&P for the last two years (the length he has had this account) but I feel my fees are too high. Will probably freeze these and begin to invest on the same regular bi-weekly rate (or more) through GRiPs or straight into stock. Still reading about these.

What I especially like is that the two feedbacks to my query were from teachers in Michigan. Ya'll have a better plan than ours in TN. Thanks again.
