We are proceeding with the lease-purchase advertisements and I will update the thread as things happen.dtschet: We haven't included such statements on our advertisements. Very wise, and we appreciate the feedback!Peter: We originally planned on using a real estate agent to help us sell, but the cost of using an agent made us try to sell on our own. Plus, the property isn't technically real estate (no land), so I'm not sure how far we could get with that anyway. We might consider it again depending on how our new advertisement shot works out.Craig: We have been advertising the home at $39,999 on the Web site and in other media for the past year with no takers. That's why we only recently (2 days ago) changed it so there was no price ("make offer") and that's why it looks that way to you now. Our thought was to see what people were *willing* to pay by calling us and starting a conversation. I do see your point, though, that it might make people think there's something wrong with the property. Never thought of it like that before. Not sure what to do about it...inparadise: I'm really not sure why you think I'm "asking permission" to walk away. I certainly don't want to make this personal, but it sounds like you have some issues that need to be dealt with. At the very least, learn to be a little more constructive when dealing out advice to someone who is obviously already responsible. Throughout my posts (and others agree), I am simply trying to figure out how to make this work, and I have no desire to walk away from my obligations as you seem to think I am about to do (which is not true).
