David Banh, an 18-year-old from Annandale, just graduated from the University of Virginia in one year. With a double major.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that THEY NEVER MENTION WHAT THE MAJORS WERE? He seems to have picked up some math and physics, and wants to be a patent attorney, or maybe go for a PhD in math.. but they never actually say what his majors were.

Honestly, I think that the best lessons I learned in college were outside of the classroom. Reading his story, I was reminded of a quote:

"If you didn't mind wasting the best years of your life, grad school was paradise." -Emanuel Derman, "My Life As A Quant: Reflections on Physics and Finance"

Good work, though. Kudos to him.

had a double major, comp sci and poli sci
