So, even if your stocks are in an IRA, the tax law will have an impact on each of us.

Since none of the dividend or capital gain taxes apply to transactions inside an IRA/401K/403B/etc, how does this affect those stock holders?

Overall, the lion's share of these investments are in tax-advantaged accounts.

The notion that the prices will need to drop to increase the gross yield to make the effective yield the same is true in mathematics. I do not believe the life numbers will change to support the mathematics. There may be some drop but I believe it will be based upon something else paying a better return and that is on the table every day.
