Greetings Fools!I'm new to this board, generally following battery, fuel cells and renewables, renewable energy, public utility, and oil and gas public boards plus some reserved letter boards. Some months back I stumbled across a US patent award for a Detonation Combustion Gas Turbine engines which has been licensed by the inventor to Truck Turbine Engines for use in heavy trucks. (http://126.96.36.199/index2.html) Is anyone on this board familiar with the technology? I have periodically checked on progress toward commercialization of the engine over the past six - seven months. The patent claims, repeated on the Truck Turbine Engines web site, include flex fuel operation with 30% or better less fuel than an ICE of equivalent horsepower. Flex fuel includes diesel, gasoline, methane, butane, propane, ethanol, methanol and others. The engine has no pistons, values, or oil pan, filters or pumps and weighs less than 2 lb/hp. Emissions are reportedly reduced by 30% or more by virtue of producing the same hp with 30% less fuel and burning that fuel more completely.Feedback welcome.
