A concern I have had with DDD comes from the fact that it is buying everyone and everything. I have seen this sort of business plan before and it as often as not results in exaggerated business fundamentals as the buying company buys at a premium and simply cannot better run or manage or create great synergies with all of these acquisitions. Just one is difficult enough.

A few companies, like CISCO for example, have been able to successfully pull it off. Yet CISCO's core business also remained very healthy in the process.

The above article, perhaps just B.S., TBD, goes into great depth as to the accounting issues and practical issues surrounding DDD's "growth".

They key to me is additive manufacturing, healthcare field, and consumer market. Are these markets set to burst open, or are they just enticing figments out there for one day in the future.
