I need to tell everyone right off the bat, that I do not own stock in this company, I decided to post a message however, because I am truly angry. I have owned a Platinum Keurig brewer since Christmas Day of 2010.
Since that time I've gone through two of them! Oh yes. The first one lasted less than three months, before something went wrong with the computer. It would show that it's brewing, but it did not brew. The company replaced that unit with another one for free. Now I have the same exact problem with this brewer. So, I called Keurig Customer Service again, to tell them that I thought that an expensive coffee brewer needs to last more than a year. This time, after speeking with a very rude representative, I was offered another Platinum brewer for $80.00
I refused the offer. Just this past weekend my best friend asked me if I would recommend a Keurig, since their coffee maker (much older!) is on the fritz. Well guess what I just told her. Yes, last weekend I told her that I loved the unit. Today, I changed my mind, and let her know that I will not be replacing mine with another Keurig. I'm sorry, but no matter how much I loved the convenience - the expense of the unit, combined with the expense of the coffee - do not justify how often one needs to keep replacing the brewers. Before I received the Keurig (from my husband) my previous coffee brewers lasted on average 8-10 years. I never spent more than $25.00 on any of them. I am very disappointed in this brewer, and in the company's response to my complaint. Many of you may not agree with my opinion, but I wanted to express it anyway. Thank you.
