This past week I went to a dentist. They x-ray my teeth, digitally photograph them and the dentist examines them. The dentist sez most of my teeth need crowns, or I need dentures. I ax her how much crowns cost. She sez $700 to $1,100+, each. Times around 25, I'm thinking OUCH - BIG OUCH!! I tell the lady who schedules appointments that I'll get back to her. They were very nice - even sent me a Hallmark card that every body in the office signed... Plus, the exam, photos and x-rays were free, with a coupon I found at their website. I don't think I kin afford to go back though, buy ya never know.

I have a dental discount card from Careington. The fee schedule is a LOT more reasonably priced: I called Dr. Painless' office, and the receptionist confirmed that the fees on the schedule are what they charge - I'm going there.

For $7 or $6 per month, I'm thinking this dental discount membership is not a bad deal, plus there's no waiting period. The discounts range from 20% to 60%.

just thought I'd pass it along, if/as you may be interested.
