Depends on your interests. There's some good Rationalist discourse at Atheist Fools. Christian stuff at Christian Fools. Painful political bickering at Political Asylum. Usually slightly higher level of political talk at Mish's Political Quagmire. The sometimes interesting life of Whafa at Whafa's Festivus. Mechanical Investing talk at the board of the same name. People anti-reccing and double-reccing various posts at the Maple Grove. Good cooking discussion at Recipes / Cooking. Hundreds of people sniping at each other over any random crap you can imagine at Living Below Your Means.

Mmm. I'm not excited enough to be either atheist or Xian, though I detect from your handle, Mr. Bonhoeffer, that you might be among the latter. And if I shun religion, I religiously shun politics, so the Asylum holds little for me, and the Quagmire as well.

I've tried MI and while I admire the work that goes into it, I feel as though points are routinely stretched there to conform to long-standing economic positions. I can barely work up interest to follow my own stocks; the idea of Mechanical Investing is somewhat chilly to me.

Whafa, Maple Grove I'm not familiar with---I'll check them out. I do like cooking, so I'll also check the recipes board. The whole concept of Living Below Your Means lacks appeal, as does sniping on a large scale, though I do admire Mr. Human's limited sniping here, which is more snip than snipe to me.

Thanks for providing some thought to this. I doubt I'm already any more interesting than I was before, but I'll see if I might become moreso after exposure to some new boards.

Best to you,
