Good chance many on this board may have been told at least one of various pieces of advice or cheering up on "the 10 Stupidest Things You Can Say to a Depressed Person."

http://thoughtcatalog.com/2013/the-10-stupidest-things-you-c...

I want to paste the entire article here with comments on each, but I'm just going to select one entry and the commentary on it because the commentary made me smile.

6. “We are overmedicated. You shouldn’t be taking a pill to make your life better.”

If you have ever shamed someone who has to take medication to help them live with and battle mental illness, I hope you get kicked in the shins really hard by a small child on your way to work, because you are a huge [---]hole
*.

* censored for language.

My second favorite is the commentary to #5.

Hoping everyone had at least one real smile today,
Lois Carmen D.
