hello everyone! first timer. i need serious help! husband and i both got laid off. 5 months to find a job. we are making a combined income of 54,500 pre tax. 2 kids. daycare is 800 per month. credit card debt is 19k, mortgage is 83k, second mortgage is 39k. i can hear the screaming now! joined genus credit management but had to drop out due to payments being too high. have talked 2 of our creditors into dropping interest and payments. my husband is getting ready to get a second job. we have no equity left in the house, and cards are maxed (most). have not used them in 6 months or so. the late fees and over-limit fees are killing us! is the best advice simply to call all the companies and see if they will negotiate? Don't know if we can even afford to do that. haven't paid a cc bill since november. HELP!!!!
