Did Daniel Ellsberg, a hero of the antiwar left (and libertarian Old Right), commit treason when he exposed the _Pentagon Papers_? Why should Novak, a conservative (but no neocon), be treated any differently?

Daniel Ellsberg was exposing lies that the Congress and American people were being told by the administration.

Novak was exposing a covert CIA agent whose job it was to help protect America against WMD's in the hands of terrorists.

Daniel Ellsberg was a hero for exposing a corrupt administration.

Bob Novak is a traitor for exposing a covert CIA agent.

That you pretend not to see the difference between the exposure of corruption and the politically-motivated exposure of a covert agent is testimony to your willingness to ignore corruption when committed by a Republican administration and excuse corruption when committed by a Republican mouthpiece.

Disgusting.
