Did you feel that way in 2000, 2002 and 2004?

I was a registered Republican in 2000 and 2002, though not the most informed of voters, so I wasn't following politics then nearly as closely as I am today. But I don't recall Democrats in Congress ever raising opposition to Bush to the extent that the GOP has to Obama. Bush Tax Cuts? Passed. And again. Medicare Part D? Passed. Authorization to go to war off the budget? Sure, why not. Blank checks to GM and Chrysler? Good stuff. GOP giveaways and handouts, far as they eye could see.

Bush actually made some very big moves during his first term and was not obstrcted much at all, in fact.

So I'd have to say, for the most part, it appears they were mostly good boys and girls who sat down and ate their crow.

Why not just get rid of Congress if they are causing too many problems

Because that's not the way our country is set up.
