I am very much a novice, even after reading a great deal of information including two of the Motley Fool books. I would like to buy my first stock and like (dish) or the Dish Network or EchoStar Communications, all the same thing. I use the product at home. It looks great according to the charts, but I still don't feel like I know enough to start. How do I understand things like P/E ratio etc. It seems like Greek to a novice even understanding the math. I guess I don't know where to start. Any firstname.lastname@example.org
