This is the first year that I've had to file schedule D and I'm not sure how to do so. I received 1099Bs due to a bank merger and need to figure out the cost basis. I was told by the IRS that I had to add in the stock splits and dividend reinvestments. I've read their instructions and still don't understand. Can anyone help?

Thank you!
