Greetings fellow Fools,

I decided to become actively involved in long-term investing in the stock market very recently, having no prior experience in investing whatsoever.

After doing some preliminary research, I opened a brokerage account last week and shall be buying my first few stocks based on recommendations from Motley Fool's Stock Advisor fairly soon.

My question pertains to dividends. If my understanding is correct, not all stocks will yield dividends for shareholders. For those that do, how do I find them? For instance, if I pull up the profile of Activision Blizzard on Google Finance, is there a place where I can search for relevant information pertaining to its dividend policy? Also, how do I know which form the dividend is going to take? If it's a cash dividend, do I receive it through my brokerage account? I understand dividends are also subject to the capital gains tax, is the taxable portion automatically withheld? FYI, I qualify as a non-resident alien for tax purposes.
