We have several shares held in Broker run self select Pep.Last April Broker indicated that in future any dividends declared could be taken in shares if the company concerned issued scrip or ran a share reinvestment scheme. We would like to use this but without contacting the individual companies how is it pos to check which companies pay dividends this way? Is there a publication or a net site that gives the info?Any help or guidance would be appreciated.dbc63
If the companies are publicly traded and have ticker symbols, you can find some information on dividends on the financial pages on Excite and Yahoo. The best printed resources are usually Barron's. For large companies, the Value Line printed volume is an excellent source. For smaller firms, the 4 volume Standard and Poors book will usually have the information. These latter sources are usually available in the reference department of your local public library.
