I am 64 and my wife is 61. We are in growth stocks, mutual funds, realestate and TIAA-CREF. This is all building net worth, but our grocer doesen't accept net worth for food. We would like a cash return of 6% or more. Junk bond funds are ok but how does one find them. Also higher dividends might be the answer. Suggestions???
