Far off on the future, but a good sign that they're at least thinking about it and planning for it

Vivendi says likely to pay dividend in 2005
http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/030924/media_vivendi_dividend_1.html

French media-to-telecoms group Vivendi Universal (Paris:EAUG.PA - News) said on Wednesday that the company would very likely begin paying a dividend again in 2005.

Vivendi Chairman Jean-Rene Fourtou said the dividend would apply to the company's 2004 financial year.

Fourtou also told reporters at a news conference here that Vivendi would become an "investor" again, rather than a seller of assets, from 2005. He said he could stay in his position at the helm of the company beyond 2004, later than previously forecast.
