DNAPrint genomics is a 1+ year old startup company headed by Tony Frudakis, Ph.D. (formerly of Corixa; CRXA) based in Florida. They recently released this news about presenting at the Genome Sequencing and Analysis Conference (GSAC) conference in San Diego:

At the conference today (10/27/01) they announced that a major part of their first product, Retinome, has passed its initial testing and that they have developed the capability of determining shade of eye color from a DNA sample. They are working on skin and hair color as well. This has major implications in forensic science. They are planning a press release on Monday to make this public. This is not their only product in the pipeline and they suggest that other projects are nearing completion. Do your DD:

They currently have a market cap of about $ 40+ million with ~400,000,000 shares @ $0.115 per share. Recently they have been as low as 0.039. They have one of the most active boards on Raging Bull:

Because of the large number of shares, they aren't as volatile as some other pennies, but they do have potential.
