Do any of you have some low-cost hints for what you use to clean? There was a thread on the LBYM board a few months back where a chemist gave the recipes for most of the cleaners that we buy at the grocery store. If I find it again, I'll post the link. Most of the cleaners we buy are made up of bleach or ammonia (of course everyone knows to NEVER mix these two!!!).I'm glad you posted this question. I realize that I have almost exactly what you have under the sink. There are also 'green cleaners' - more environmentally gentle. I am going to start buying those when I use up what I have. The only problem I have with bleach is that it will splash onto everything, even if you are very careful. I can't tell you how many blouses and pants I have ruined because of tiny splashes you don't see. You will splash on curtains and towels in the bathroom. I have given up on using bleach as a cleaner.I also use only hot water on my floors. I thought I was the only person who did that!Andrea
