Do not co-sign. I realize that the person is responsible and disciplined, but if he is killed in an accident you're going to end up owing on his mortgage or any other temporary debts he might have. Only co-sign if you can pay the bill yourself.I would suggest that he talk to Citi and ask why they changed his account over. I don't know if they'll fix it retroactively, but it's worth a call.In some cases (not all, just some) if he can prove that he's been responsible in terms of paying his bills there are some banks that will accept this. If he has his accounts at a small bank rather than a giant, this might be worth considering. The only other answer seems to be for him to start over. Get a small card for stores or gas, and then work up.Nancy
