Do people still lick _stamps_, though? I haven't been able to buy anything but the pre-gummed stamps from my Post Office for at least a couple years, now.

I sell a lot of small items on half.com. For a small package less than 5 ounces, which is what most CD's will weigh, 1st class postage is $1.29. I could send it media mail for $1.42 and have it arrive a few days later, but nothing is too good for my customers. I'll spend the $1.29 and get it there quicker.

$1.29 is 3 standard 37 cent stamps plus 18¢. The only way to make 18¢ that I have found in standard available stamps is 1 10¢, 1 5¢, and 1 3¢. The 5¢ has to be licked. At least the ones my P.O. sells. Very strange.

Ralph
