Do you have an outline formed of how the chapters will be laid out? I was never one to go into much detail with outlines, but use them more as a go-by.Oh definitly. I have actually found that the outline is the easy part...I can whip through a complete story outline in a day sometimes. Then I get lazy and leave it, since it is now out of my system. This one story just bugged me for so long.So then I took the outline and started adding details in each section...building them up a bit a time...comparing notes to other sections an so on. Eventually I had enough facts and stuff that I could start to tie together some dialog. (That is the HARDEST part for me.)Then somehow, out of all that, I was able to start Chapter 1 for real...by the last few pages it was rolling along pretty good.As for rewriting and tuning...the outline, the notes, the first two starts on that chapter, etc....seem to be a good weeding out factor. But I guess it will probably change some more.Buffy
