Do you know if this applies to TIAA-CREF's Rollover IRA Annuities as well? (I have an account with TIAA-CREF to which I rolled and consolidated funds from several other IRAs.) Since there is no institution involved in setting the rules, I would presume not, but what you say about the 401/403 accounts is a real revelation to me. I did read the contract for the IRA Rollover very carefully at the time and saw no mention of that.
