Does anyone know if the states can get their greedy little hands on our roth fed tax free withdrawals? Yes. They can tax pretty much what they want, except for interest on Federal obligations and nonresidents' retirement payments. (Those are the two I can think of with only one cup of coffee. There may be other prohibitions in Federal law, but taxing Roth distributions isn't one of them.)Phil Marti
