Does Apple need to stop people putting OS X on their HPs, Dells, Gateway, or homegrown Intel or AMD computer? If they want to keep selling Macs at a premium price they do. I am not sure it does. I am not saying Apple should sell and support OS X on every imaginable Intel box out in the marketplace. The key is support. If someone wants to purchase OS X and install it on their non-Apple computer that would be fine. The purchaser needs to be aware that they are buying a product for which there will be no support. Which won't stop them bitching to everyone that OSX is a pile of crap that doesn't work.
